Job description
His/her mission:
Manages, organizes and control the daily operations of the EIA department.
He/she reports to the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Final responsibility for the technical assessment of the electrical, instrument and automation engineering, calculations, estimations, pricing and execution;
· In particular, an ability to provide adequate preliminary estimation either at sales level or during early project execution phase.
· Ensures adequate and timely execution of all projects, including the resources allocation, the planning of the activities and the financial aspects;
· Ensures integration of the Department activities within global project execution;
· Identifies risks and take action to mitigate losses;
· Coordinates the Department activities and resources;
· Through his/her experience, support the team in its activities;
· Coaches the team and develop competences within the Department. Recruit resources as per workload need.
· Maintains a High Level Standard through the Quality Management System;
· Works together with the Business Development Managers and Project Managers.
Department activities
· Lead project EIA scope and budget estimate from sales to execution;
· In the frame of a project execution, manage and follow-up the quality, the budget and planning of related duties;
· Develop basic engineering for estimate, pricing and preliminary execution design;
· Procure Electrical equipment, Instrument and Automation;
· Manage, review and approve vendor documentation;
· Prepares Electrical, Instrument and Automation Works call for tenders;
· Identifies, audit and selects (local) contractors and suppliers for obtaining prices and information, which shall be used in DSEC's proposals or in the frame of a project execution;
· Deliver the site with execution drawings as per project schedule;
· Give technical support to construction and commissioning team;
· Assist Site Management in closing successfully the site works contracts.
Job requirements
Know How & Profile
· Experience, in a similar industry, in electricity, instrumentation, automation, feasibility studies, prices estimations, specification writing, price inquiry, offer follow up, bid comparison and site works supervision;
· Managerial experience;
· Good knowledge of the industry standard;
· Have a positive and proactive attitude;
· DSEC “believer” & team player;
· Perseverant, follow-through on actions;
· Ready to travel as per department or project needs.
Experience
At least 15 years’ experience in engineering or industry.
Education
Master degree in Industrial Sciences – Electrical or Electro-mechanical Engineering.
Languages
French mandatory;
English mandatory;
Other languages are a plus.
